This winter semolina porridge is perfect for cold days: creamy, spicy and with a delicious caramelized apple and almond topping. Quick to make and simply delicious!

Ingredients

  • 2tbsp
  • 30g Soft wheat semolina
  • 250ml (Vegetable) milk
  • 1tsp Cinnamon
  • 1tsp ground ginger
  • 1pn ground nutmeg
  • 1pn ground cloves
  • 1pc Apple
  • 1tbsp Margarine
  • 50g Almonds
  • 1tbsp Maple syrup
  • 1pn Cinnamon
  • 1tsp (Vegetable) yogurt for garnish

Preparation

  1. Pour the cane sugar, milk, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves into a pan and bring to the boil while stirring.
  2. Reduce the heat, gradually add the semolina and stir with a whisk.
  3. Leave the semolina porridge to infuse for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove the pan from the heat and pour into bowls.
  5. Wash the apple, remove the core and cut into pieces.
  6. Melt the margarine in a pan and add the apple pieces, almonds, maple syrup and cinnamon.
  7. Fry over a medium heat until lightly caramelized and garnish with 1 teaspoon of (plant-based) yoghurt on top of the semolina porridge.
