Why do we need more energy in winter?

On the one hand, our body has to regulate our body temperature when it is cold and, at the same time, our vitamin D levels often drop due to the lack of sunlight. And this is exactly what leads to more tiredness, cravings and more feel-good moments. It is important to respond to these needs and snack regularly in order to stabilize blood sugar and provide the body with optimal support, but this is only possible with the right snacks.

I pay particular attention to natural snacks without unnecessary additives, great taste and quality that are also rich in vitamins, minerals and good fats.
Natural snacks are real power packs for cold days!

For the perfect balance, I prefer to make a few homemade granola bars or reach for the nut-fruit mixes such as the trail mix, the Entdecker Mix or Nuts'n'Berries from Seeberger.
My tip: always have a packet at your desk or in your bag.

Winter doesn't have to be heavy and lacking in energy! With natural sources of energy and the right snacks, you can also get through the dark months feeling energetic and happy.

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180 °C fan oven and line a small oven dish with baking paper.
Dice the apricots and place all the dry ingredients in a large bowl and mix together. Then add the wet ingredients and mix everything thoroughly. Pour the mixture into the prepared tin and press down firmly to create an even, compact layer.
Bake for 27-30 minutes until the surface is lightly golden brown.
Remove from the oven and leave to cool completely. Spread a thin layer of melted chocolate over the top and place the tin in the fridge for 30 minutes (or overnight for a firmer, less crumbly texture) until set. Cut into bars or squares.

Storage: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 10 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
