The WFP (World Food Programme) is the world's largest
humanitarian organization fighting hunger. As part of the United Nations, it is funded exclusively by voluntary contributions - from governments, companies and individuals.
In Nepal, around five million people live below the
poverty line and one in seven households does not have enough food for their daily needs. Children and women in particular suffer from insufficient food.
In addition to the remote geography, crises such as severe earthquakes and the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic exacerbate food insecurity.
This is where the project comes in: The WFP provides nutritious meals to children and pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. They receive
utrient-enriched cereals that are processed into a filling porridge. This ensures that children receive the right nutrition to grow up healthy at a crucial stage in their lives.
share has been supporting the WFP in Nepal for more than five
years. Since then, more than 10 million meals have been financed,
which have helped thousands of families. With every share x Seeberger snack, we are helping to ensure that there are even more.
